Strategic planning, writing & editing: Maine Law Magazine Led the strategic planning for and launch of a magazine designed to highlight the quality of Maine Law for potential students and to showcase for supporters and governmental decision makers the school’s contributions to the state’s legal community. Edits and designs additional Maine Law publications.
Design & content structure: Maine Public strategic plan
Designed Maine Public’s 2019 strategic plan and executive summary. Created information structure and reworked content into executive summary that captured critical highlights. Created a template for website implementation. Continues to provide design services for development and event promotion.
Web site development/Writing B2B white papers
Created wireframe and design of websites for WEX, an international leader in vehicle fleet management and payment systems. Developed strategy, conceptual and design wireframes. Wrote and gathered data for white papers about subjects that included big data and cash flow considerations for owners of large vehicle fleets.
Strategic planning, writing & editing: USM Connects
Led the strategic planning for and launch of a magazine designed to highlight (for regional and state-level decision makers) the relevancy of the University of Southern Maine by spotlighting examples of the school’s positive impact on Maine economic development. Edited, designed and oversaw production.
Writing: Series on immigrants & Maine’s workforce
Wrote a deeply reported series for Pine Tree Watch on the role of immigrants in helping Maine build a sustainable workforce. Analyzed/presented economic data. Interviewed immigrants; policy experts; economists; legislators; and advocates and opponents of immigration.
Web site development: B2B business site
Created wireframe and design for Welch Sign B2B website. Led website strategic planning, oversaw coding and content implementation. Worked with industry specialist to ensure conformity with industry-specific content expectations. Led client reviews and developed content management system training program.
Design, copy & strategy: Public awareness campaign
Designed a campaign to increase awareness about reporting harassment on public transportation for Portland Metro. Wrote and designed multi-faceted campaign that included bus stop displays, in-bus signs, handouts and digital ads. Led strategic planning meeting and researched subject-specific messaging challenges.
Writing: Article about tax incentives and film making
Researched and reported for MovieMaker Magazine about the effectiveness of incentive programs for attracting film productions and infrastructure. Interviewed policy experts, film makers and industry representatives. Wrote follow-up article about foreign incentive programs.
